Here's to Having 2-Many-Hobbys!
This is the place where I have 2-many-hobbys! Here you will find information about flyfishing in the Ozarks, a highly modified 63 Baja VW Bug, a full-working farm with horses, goats, cows, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs as well as tractors, plows, mowers, and balers. Then I like to take pictures with my camera, make and edit video and pictures. Regularly I can be found in a large kitchen making meals for 20+ people. Did I mention I love to weld and work in my shop not only with a welder and plasma cutter but also wood working? As we were adding on to our old farm house and doing the majority by myself and with the help of my dad, I decided that I would like to trim out the house with lumber from my own farm. After looking on Craigslist for a long time, I bought a well used bandsaw sawmill that needed lots of repair, welding , modifications and mechanical work.
Inside these pages you'll find a lot of info about these and other hobbys I enjoy. I hope you find the ideas and info here useful and enjoyable. I applaud anyone who, like me, has 2-many-hobbys!!
Baja Bug build
A childhood dream for me was to build a VW Baja Bug. When I was in high school I built a rail dune buggy from parts of old VW's. Then as an adult I decided I would build a Baja Bug.
I found an old part of a bug on Ebay. It wasn't much. The pictures won't do it justice. The only good thing about it was that it had little to no rust on the body/doors. The pan was rusted out but that is normal on an old bug. There was no motor and when I picked it up I realized that someone had cut off one of the engine mounting points which also holds the transmission. That had to be repaired among about a 10,000 other things.

New Hobby: Timberking B20 Sawmill
I'm sure I need one more hobby! Oh Yeow!!
Since I was a boy I have always been captivated, enthralled with sawmills cutting trees into lumber. Sawdust flying, blades buzzing, wood being shaped. What more could a young man ask for?
After years of thinking, this past January in the remnants worst snowstorm of the season, I purchased a sawmill that I found listed on craigslist. It had not been operated or maintained in years. Stored outside, it showed all the signs of many a season having passed it by.
This sawmill is a band saw that bears the name "Timberking." The only part of it that is actually manufactured by
